Our weekly chapels are a time of celebration in our community as we gather to praise God for what He is doing in and through us. In addition to worship, we invite dynamic speakers to communicate a Biblically relevant and challenging or encouraging message to us. The 2011-2012 chapel theme is Riddle Me This.
The Student Ministries Team prayerfully develops a theme for each year's chapels. The Student Ministries Team is then charged with planning weekly chapels for the entire student body including worship, a speaker, and student testimonies.
Once a month students meet in small groups for mutual encouragement, prayer, and accountability. The groups are led by an adult faculty/staff mentor who helps the students understand their spiritual journey and how to navigate life decisions and experiences. The goal is that we will all follow Christ with greater depth, perseverance, and joy.
Each year, Maranatha sends several student teams during the summer months to various locations throughout the globe with the purpose of serving these communities as Jesus Christ has served us. On an annual basis, Maranatha sends teams to Nicaragua and Guatemala. On a rotating basis, we also send a team to Kenya and Tanzania. If you are interested in attending one of these trips, please contact our Director of Student Ministries.
