Student Parking Permit Info for 2010-11
Driving to school and parking in the student parking area is a privilege granted to students at MHS based on the number of spaces available, the traffic considerations of the community directly surrounding our school, and the conditions placed on the school by our Conditional Use Permit. This year we are anticipating additional traffic concerns on streets in our immediate neighborhood due to construction projects adjacent to or nearby our campus. In addition, as our student body continues to grow, the availability of student parking decreases. This year not every student who applies for a student parking permit will be granted one.
In order for a student to receive a 2010-2011 parking permit, Maranatha is requiring all student applicant drivers to establish student carpools of at least one additional student. Students who are unable to establish a carpool may submit a “hardship consideration” for review and possible issuance of a parking permit. Sophomore student drivers will not be issued parking permits for this school year.
You must submit a parking permit application in a timely manner to be considered for this privilege. Student Parking Permit Applications are due no later than Friday, July 30, 2010, to Ivy Jones in the Student Center (626-817-4000). Student driver applicants will be notified of their parking privileges and sent parking stickers in August. Incomplete parking applications will not be processed.
