45th Birthday Celebration





SAVE THE DATE – March 13, 2010!

It is time to celebrate! This academic year, Maranatha High School celebrates 45 years of Christian education. Our birthday celebration will be on Saturday, March 13, 2010 and is being held at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena. The evening will celebrate our 45 year history and will include a silent and live auction (with our very own auctioneer John Rouse), dinner, dancing, an opportunity drawing, and other little “extras”. Invitations will be mailed soon to all current MHS families; however, if you are an alum, parent of alum, or grandparent and would like to attend the celebration, then simply contact the school’s Development Office now (626-817-4071 or m_pepe@mhs-hs.org) to receive an invitation. Also, there will be an opportunity for those interested to reserve a room at the Westin at a discounted rate.

We are asking the entire Maranatha community to consider supporting it in the following ways:
  • Make a cash contribution to help reduce our costs (underwriting)
  • Purchase an ad or a tribute in the program (tributes can honor a student, teacher, sports team, club, etc.)
  • Donate an auction item (e.g., gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, house wares, gardening items, sporting tickets, jewelry, hotel stays, air travel, weekend getaways, artwork, etc. Items are any value are appreciated!)
  • Purchase an opportunity drawing ticket

We are excited to announce that we are selling opportunity drawing tickets to raise money for this event. The cost is $50 per ticket and we are only selling a limited number of tickets. The first prize will be free tuition for the 2010-11 school year or $8,000 cash, whichever the winner chooses! 2nd and 3rd prizes are $1,000 and $450, respectively. Purchase tickets at the school’s front desk. The winning tickets will be drawn at the event.

Thank you so much for your anticipated support. We are working very hard to make this inaugural fundraiser for Student Life a great success, but we cannot succeed without the support of all of you. Please take some time to prayerfully consider the contribution you can make to this event. We all have something to give. And we look forward to seeing you all at the Westin on March 13th!
