Pickup Information

After school pick up:
- When driving to school for student pick up after school, you must follow the same route listed for student drop off traffic.
- When entering the parking structure for student pick up after school, there are two entrance lanes. Parents picking up students after school may use both lanes for student pick up.
- If your vehicle exceeds the vehicle clearance (6’8”) in the parking structure, you must use the Visitor
Parking Lot for Drop off and Pick up. (Note: Access to and egress from this parking lot during drop off and pick up times may be difficult and timely. Please plan accordingly.)
- Once inside the parking structure, parents picking up students are to drive directly to the Pick up/Drop off zone located in the middle of the south side of the parking structure. Do not pick up your student(s) along the west wall or in front of the southwest pedestrian entrance/exit (this congests traffic and is an unsafe pick up area).
- If a pick up vehicle arrives early, the driver should wait in the right Pick up/Drop off lane or zone. If the vehicle is waiting, the motor must be turned off (CUP #4367 Attachment B: 17).
- After picking up your student(s), pick up traffic should exit the parking structure by the South Vehicle Exit. Once pick up has occurred, vehicles should carefully merge into the left lane whenever possible/practical to exit the parking structure and to clear the right lane in the Pick up/Drop off zone for queuing pick up traffic.
- As pick up traffic exits the parking structure through the South Vehicle Exit, be aware that student drivers will be merging with exiting parent pick up traffic under the direction of a staff member.
- Upon exiting the parking structure, exercise caution as you drive south on South Saint John Avenue as you merge with the traffic exiting the Del Mar exit of the freeway onto South Saint John Avenue.
- Once on South Saint John Avenue, all pick up traffic must turn left (east) on Del Mar when leaving campus. No exceptions.
- Once traveling east on Del Mar, there is no further requirement on school traffic by our CUP #4367.
- No queuing and/or parking for drop off and pick up will occur on any street and/or private property surrounding the campus.
- Students found to be picked up in violation of any of the above terms/instructions required by our CUP #4367 may be subject to, but not limited to, the following: two hour Saturday School, four hour Saturday School, and/or other proportionate discipline including suspension and/or withdrawal from school.
