Fresh Start Day - March 27
Four volunteers to help the sign people up for future meetings. Needed for approx 1.5 hours during morning. Please contact Marie Pepe if interested at (626) 817-4071.

45th Birthday Auction - March 13
Baskets needed (all shapes and sizes) for the 45th birthday auction. Please donate any baskets you may have around the house. That will really help. Please contact Stacey Davis-Jackson at davisjac5@aol.com.

Booster Club Golf Tournament - April 30
Six adults between 10:30am-12:30pm to help with Golf bag drop off, Registration package, putting contest. Four adults from 12:30pm-approx 5pm to witness Hole in One holes. Four adults needed to set-up and decorate Student Center for dinner and small silent auction. One adult to help check out Silent Auction from 7:30pm-9pm. College Rep Visits - ongoing
The Guidance Office would like to fly in representatives from colleges all over the country to speak to Maranatha students. If you have frequent flyer miles you could donate to support this important effort, please contact Yvonne Hays at y_hayes@mhs-hs.org. Every $20 value = 1 hour. If you prefer an in-kind donation letter, that can be provided instead of hours.

Chess Club "tutor" - ongoing
Meet with Chess Club after school (preferably Fridays) as able to help tutor kids in skill, strategy, specil moves, etc... Please contact Chess Club Advisor Kay Rouse if interested at k_rouse@mhs-hs.org.

Commons Room Cleaning (On-Going on Fridays)
The Common's Room in the Academic Center is used by many groups and it would be nice to have a volunteer help straighten up and lightly clean the Common's Room each Friday afternoon. This would include throwing away food in the refrigerator, cleaning up the kitchen area, microwaves, wiping off tables, straightening up the room, etc. 1 hour per week is available. We would prefer one person to volunteer for entire duty or the same person per month. Contact Dave Ekstarnd for more information at d_ekstrand@mhs-hs.org.

School Bus Body Work/Welding
Help needed to do body work on the school buses to fix dings, etc. Welding help also needed for school bus repair. If you have skills in these areas, please contact Dave Ekstrand at (626) 817-4085.
On-going S.O.S. Opportunities
- At the end of each month (usually the last work day of the month) volunteers are needed to help the Development Department stuff Minutegrams. If interested, please contact Marie Pepe at: (626) 817-4071.
- Ticket takers needed for sporting events. If interested, please contact Eddie Arnett at (626) 817-4061.
- $250.00 in accumulated Scrip purchases earns 1 S.O.S. hour. Plenty of great Scrip/gift cards are on hand. Remember profit from the Scrip programs helps fund teacher wishes. For questions, call the P.A. office at (626) 817-4006.
- Earn S.O.S. Hours by Registering Club Cards. Register your Vons, Ralphs, Albertsons, and E-Scrip Community Cards on the MHS Scrip Form and earn 1 hour for each card you register (including friend's or family member's cards). Remember to write the card holder's name and actual card # (not phone #) clearly on the form. To receive SOS credit, you must print out the confirmation page from each registered card and staple it to your SOS booklet. There is no limit to the number of cards you can register. Be sure to turn these in before the deadline.
- On-campus Prayer Meeting attendance = 1 hour of credit per meeting. Please note: S.O.S. hours are not accrued for other prayer ministry efforts.
- Attending Booster Club, Parent Association, or Performing Arts Society meetings = 1 hour of credit per meeting.
- Attending Back to School Night and the State of the School address = 1 hour of credit per meeting.
- Spending $10 on items for school functions (water, hamburgers, cookies, plates, etc) = 1 hour per $10 spent. (Attach receipts to S.O.S. Booklet.)
- Two dozen cookies or brownies baked for school functions = 1 hour of credit.
