The main function of the Parent Association (P.A.) is to support the faculty, staff and the families of Maranatha High School. This is accomplished in four distinct ways:

  1. The P.A. raises funds which are used to directly benefit the teachers and staff of MHS. The P.A. oversees the Scrip (gift card) program and holds a See’s Candy Sale Fundraiser each year. Other fundraising opportunities include the “Isolditonebay.com” and “Cartridges for Kids” recycling programs.
  2. As prayer is the foundation of Maranatha High School, the P.A. provides many prayer opportunities throughout the school year. Please see the P.A. Prayer Opportunities page for more information on how you can be involved.
  3. The P.A. also administers the Support Our School (S.O.S.) program to encourage parent support and involvement in the school community.
  4. The P.A. provides a monthly teacher luncheon to encourage and support the faculty and staff of MHS, as well as monthly teacher appreciation gifts and goodies. All food and treat items are donated by school families.

The P.A. meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Academic Center 3rd floor Commons Room. Important information is provided at these meetings along with reports from the Administration and the Development Office. A special guest speaker from the faculty also shares a little about themselves and their reasons and goals for teaching at Maranatha. Prayer requests, praise reports and a special devotion is also part of each meeting.

All families belong to the Parent Association without a membership fee and are welcomed and encouraged to attend these meetings.
