Academics

Maranatha High School promotes a rigorous academic curriculum which incorporates the whole student by confronting them with implications of a Biblical worldview as well as the content of the course curriculum. Students are challenged daily not only to develop their minds regarding the course work but also to make a positive impact for Jesus Christ as they navigate their society. MHS students are taught to become skilled in the academic disciplines and to utilize the process of critical thinking and logical reasoning that will make it possible for them to become productive citizens in their communities as a testimony for God’s glory.

As a place of distinction in the Pasadena community, Maranatha High School is recognized by accreditation teams for its multiple Advanced Placement and Honors level courses that prepare students for university and college-level pursuits. Students are required to schedule seven classes each semester and must complete 260 units to receive a diploma.
