What is Edline?
Edline is an Internet based program that allows parents and students to access progress reports that are updated weekly along with a variety of other features. Maranatha implemented the program school wide in the Fall of 2005.
How do we sign up?
All students receive both student and parent activation codes at Registration before school starts. These codes allow both students and parents to establish separate accounts in order to monitor individual classes. Once the accounts are activated, users can access Edline from anywhere on the World Wide Web. The link to Edline is: www.edline.net. If a student needs his or her activation code or has forgotten their screen name or password, they must contact the Guidance Office to receive another copy.
How do I activate my Edline Account?
- With your activation code handy, go to the Edline website:
www.edline.net
- Click on: “Click here if you have a new activation code” in the top left corner.
- Enter your activation code when prompted and click enter.
- Fill in the required contact information keeping in mind that the email address you enter should be one that you check regularly.
- Make note of your screen name and password because you will need it each time you access class information.
- When you have finished the set up process, click done and you will end on the home page for your student. On the left side of the screen you will find a list of your student’s current classes. Each year individual class sites will be set up right before school starts.
- Once Edline is launched each year, you will receive an email each time new grade information is available for viewing on the Edline site. Some teachers post a calendar of activities and homework on their homepage which you can also access by going to www.edline.net and entering your screen name and password.
How often can I expect updates to grade information?
Our teachers are committed to updating grade information on a weekly basis. When you use Edline, you will not only find a current semester grade but also a detailed report itemizing each assignment and the grade that was earned. This empowers students and parents alike to be responsible for their academic achievement. Remember the grade displayed on Edline is for progress information only and does not necessarily represent the official semester grade. Official semester grades are reported on transcripts and reports cards only.
