Boys' Cross Country
The Boys' Cross Country Team is about developing character through the love of running. The Cross Country Team, which is actually run as a co-ed team with the Girls' Team, competes in the fall season in the Olympic League, Division IV. However, Cross Country is developed as a year round program, starting each year in early summer with a meeting and summer training schedule. The highlight of the year is the pre-season training camp held for one week near the end of summer. Students experience a lot of training and bonding together in the Sequoia National Park. Besides competing in the Olympic League, the team competes in the Don Bosco, Bell-Jeff, Furman, and Mt. Sac Invitationals. They also typically compete in one national event per year. The Boys’ Cross Country Program has had great success at Maranatha. They are 25 time League Champions, 6 time CIF SS Champions, and 2 time State Champions.

Football

It is Maranatha's desire to continue building a football program rich in tradition, character and service. Our goal is to produce athletes who are young men of character and distinction and above all, men who honor God with their lives. Each year, our ambition is to bring a Championship back to Maranatha. Any athlete interested in playing in the fall season is encouraged to participate in "Spring Ball". In the summer, there are team camps, "7 on 7" competitions, and other various opportunities to be a part of. The climax occurs in late summer as the athletes take part in a rigorous and intensive week filled with "two a days" in a camp-like setting before the season starts in the Alpha League.

Girls' Tennis

Maranatha Girls' Tennis plays in the Olympic League. The Girls' Tennis Team practices and plays home games at Occidental College.

Head Coach: TBD

Girls' Volleyball

Though the girls compete in the fall, there is plenty of opportunity to play volleyball during the summer months. Summer practices are offered from June through July. There is a Summer League that goes on during the month of July. During the season the teams play in the strong Olympic League. There are also tournaments that the teams participate in. The players are asked to contribute in three main areas: to love the Lord (Christ First), support one another (Team) and "leave it all on the court" (Effort).
