Honors and Advanced Placement courses are designated on the students' transcripts and are not weighted in the calculation of the GPA.

Advanced Placement Courses include: Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, English Literature, U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government, Psychology, Spanish Language, Music Theory, Studio Art, and Physics.

Honors Courses include: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English 9, 10 and 11, Algebra I and II, Math III, Spanish I, II and III, Ancient World History, and Painting and Drawing.

It is anticipated that 85% of Maranatha High School graduates will attend a four year college and 15% will attend a two year college or trade school.

Grading System
Only grades given at the conclusion of each semester are recorded on a student's transcript. The overall GPA is calculated on a four point scale, utilizing no plusses or minuses. Plusses and minuses utilized on transcript are for internal school purposes only.
