Maranatha High School promotes a rigorous academic curriculum for high school students who are committed to the challenges of a college preparatory program. With over 90 courses offered in nine different departments, our students are challenged daily to develop their minds regarding the course work but also to make a positive impact for Jesus Christ as they navigate through society. MHS students are taught to become proficient in the academic disciplines and to utilize the process of critical thinking and logical reasoning that will make it possible for them to become productive citizens in their communities.
As a place of distinction in the Pasadena community, Maranatha High School is recognized by accreditation teams for its multiple Advanced Placement and Honors level courses that prepare students for university and college level pursuits. Students are required to schedule seven classes each semester and must complete 260 units to receive a diploma.
